104歳の婆ちゃんがガン手術

１０４歳に大腸がん手術　徳島、女性が退院

　１０４歳の女性に徳島市民病院が大腸がんを切り取る手術をし成功、女性は２９日、退院した。 　高齢者手術に詳しい兵庫県立淡路病院の栗栖茂地域医療連携部長（消化器外科）は「１００歳以上でがん切除手術は珍しい。国内最高齢での成功ではないか」と話している。 　女性は、徳島市の赤井イヨさんで１９０１年１１月生まれ。退院にあたり「これからもおいしいものを食べられると思うとうれしい。皆さんに感謝しています」と笑顔で話した。

失礼だとは思うけど、進行の早い癌でもない限り、手術してもしなくても大して変わらない気もしなくもない。
最近の医療の進歩だとそうでもないのかな？
これから100歳以上の患者の癌手術って増えて行くんだろうか。
